Resignation of 17 Jamaat-backed Deputy and Assistant Attorney Generals

Seven Jamaat-backed Deputy Attorney Generals and ten Assistant Attorney Generals from the Attorney General’s Office have simultaneously tendered their resignations. They submitted their resignation letters to the Attorney General’s Office last Monday (June 22).

The resignation was confirmed today, Tuesday (June 23), by Tariqul Islam, one of the resigning Deputy Attorney Generals.

The resigning Deputy Attorney Generals are Yusuf Ali, Shafiqur Rahman, Abdul Karim, Farid Uddin Khan, Golam Rahman Bhuiyan, Asad Uddin, and Tariqul Islam.

The Assistant Attorney Generals are Imrul Kayes Rana, Humayun Kabir Tanim, Abdul Kaiyum Bhuiyan, Abdullahil Maruf Fahim, Zowadur Rahman, Shamsil Arefin, Mahabuba Akhter Roli, Noor Nabi Uzzal, Al Reza Amir, and Rezaul Islam.
